Uruguay
Overview: Uruguay Project
Wellgreen Platinum currently holds five prospecting licenses in Uruguay. Our predecessor, Pacific Coast Nickel Corp. (“PCNC”), completed an initial country-wide exploration program and then followed up in 2008 with field reconnaissance where open-ground areas were defined as key targets.
PCNC then applied for prospection permits and initial prospecting on all five of these areas identified significant mafic-ultramafic intrusions that contained geochemical anomalies in Ni, Cu, Co and Cr in rock chip and stream sediment samples and, in some places, visible sulfide mineralization.
The project is at a grassroots exploration stage and requires additional general and regional field work.
